  About Us

Amy Zimmerman founded A.Z. Communications, bringing more than 25 years of communications and public relations experience to asset managers, banks, RIAs and other professional service organizations. Amy advises investment firms and other organizations on strategic communications, brand positioning, messaging, media relations and content.

Financial firms face unique communications challenges: explaining complex investment strategies, differentiating products in competitive markets, and maintaining credibility with investors and regulators.

A.Z. Communications specializes in translating complex financial ideas into clear messaging that resonates with investors, advisors, journalists, and industry audiences. Our work supports brand positioning, thought leadership, product launches, media engagement and executive visibility.

Amy Zimmerman is a communications strategy and PR consultant and writer with more than 25 years of experience. She started A.Z. Communications in 2007 to bring marketing communications programs and content to financial,  investment management, professional service and nonprofit organizations.

Her experiences have shaped her leadership and communications advisory skills. She now works as or alongside her clients’ communications departments, or as their fractional communications officer.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University in New York City. Living in San Diego, Amy is a member of Women in ETFs and the IABC.
